The compressors of series Airpol PR have smooth motor rotation adjustment from 20% to 100%. If air consumption is lower than 20% of the maximum compressor capacity, a signal is sent from the frequency converter about machine stopping. The operation control system with the frequency converter keeps the compressor motor rotations at the level that ensures constant pressure in the compressed air system. When the pressure in compressed-air line system decreases, the converter increases the motor rotation speed, which results in the compressor capacity increase, and when pressure increases, the motor rotation speed decreases.
Smoothly controlled acceleration and deceleration reduces load of mechanical and electrical elements. The moving structural elements operate at lower rotations.
The frequency converter is located in the separate and effectively cooled switchgear, which ensures good ventilation and protection against an influence of heat emitted by the compression module operation.
Controllers of Airpol PR screw compressors (with a motor power from 30 kW to 315 kW) are equipped with a new control function to increase the throughflow capacity up to 150% of the nominal productivity of the machine. An increase in performance is possible if a motor is underused, it occurs when the compressor is operating below the nominal pressure. The PID controller constantly monitors the pressure and power consumption from the frequency converter and increases the speed on this basis. “Ultra Speed” function can be turned off/on by pressing a single button on the touch panel of the screen.
The ability to exchange data in the network with compressors equipped with MS AIRPOL POWER CONTROL controllers, without the need for an external controller. The compressor with the MS-587FRQ controller works as the main one, the possibility of connecting up to 4 compressors to the network.
